Burger BarOwner Julie Hamann and others at Jule's Burger Bar work frantically through the lunch hour, serving up everything from double cheeseburgers with onion rings to a daily special of tacos or roast beef. Open daily (except Wednesday), the Burger Bar is a local gathering spot for friendly exchanges and room-wide conversations. Their drive-thru allows for quick pickup for lunch at work or on the go. Located on Highway 96, just a minute from downtown Tribune.

 

  The Chatterbox Cafe
 

Chatterbox CafeThe Chatterbox Cafe, serving up daily specials and a variety of all-American choices, is situated along Highway 96, a convenient stop for any local or traveler. Owned by four area women, The Chatterbox is known for its hearty breakfasts and is a popular gathering spot for morning coffee groups. Hours are Tuesday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Thursday evening from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No picture availableOpen every Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the fountain area of Dixon Drug, the Country Cupboard offers a different lunch special from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., with choices of an entree, sandwich, and soup each day. They also specialize in morning pastries and ice cream treats, featuring cinnamon rolls and other delectables for the coffee bunch and unusual ice cream concoctions for the after work and after school crowd.
