Greeley County High School strives to offer a complete, well-rounded education for students of all interests and abilities. Ninety percent of all graduating seniors advance onto some form of higher education. This is attributed to the school's integrated comprehensive curriculum, dedicated staff, and parental and community involvement.
Junior high and high school students are issued their own laptop computers upon enrollment as a tool to enhance their overall learning experience. Various assignments ensure that students are familiar with a variety of programs, which include video and PowerPoint presentations and database/network information systems. An on-site learning lab provides instruction in computer presentations, applications, repair, etc.
The Greeley County Jackrabbits participate in an array of activities outside the classroom as well. Besides volunteering for various community projects, many Jackrabbits find time to take part in one of the various sports offered: football, tennis, volleyball, golf, basketball, track, cross country, cheerleading, and golf. Students also participate in Student Council, National Honor Society, Students Against Drunk Driving, forensics, music, drama, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Quiz Bowl. Numerous athletic and academic state titles fill the trophy cases and line the walls of the Greeley County gymnasium, including the most recent one for the 1A State Quiz Bowl Champions for 2005-2006 school year.
Greeley County truly believes in the potential of every student and fosters an environment that promotes positive learning opportunities.
