July 6,2008, 4th of July Church Services on the Courthouse Lawn: Breakfast of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice, and coffee are served at the old courthouse gazebo, followed by church services by the Ministerial Alliance on the courthouse lawn under a canopy of trees. July 30 thru Aug. 2, 2008, Greeley County Fair: Greeley County Fairgrounds. 4-H and Open Class exhibits and booths are displayed and judged during the four-day event. There's something for every age: turtle races, tractor pulls, livestock sale, dances, reunions, etc. The VFW will sponsor the Rod/Bike Show.

October 18, 2008, Christmas Idea Fair Crafts people and other groups from around the area display their Christmas products.  The Rebekahs serve lunch. December 14, 2008, Museum Christmas Tea. Horace Greeley Museum opens its doors for an annual Christmas Tea. In addition to special exhibits and refreshments, live entertainment is heard throughout the old courthouse building.  The Greeley County Historical Society hosts a bake sale, and all proceeds help with repairs and renovations on the building. The Horace Greeley Museum pays tribute to the experiences, livelihoods, and characters of Greeley County history through a variety of exhibits and mementos.  It is operated by members of the Greeley County Historical Society whose goal is to preserve area history.  The museum is open every Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at other times by appointment.
